Characteristics

Eco Concrete Seal 2K HD is the latest generation of water-based, 2-component, polyurethane lacquer for the protection of hard floors such as concrete, leveling compound, cement and microcement. This newly developed formula is characterized by an extremely high wear resistance and durability, easy processing and a deep matte appearance, gloss level 5. The 2K concrete look lacquer is very suitable for project use and heavily loaded surfaces such as residences and public buildings including care homes, offices and treatment practices, etc. Use the Blue Dolphin Eco Concrete Primer primer as 1st layer. Then apply 2 coats of topcoat BD Eco Concrete Seal 2K.

The special concrete look formula is ideal for the following application:

• in areas where washing is done and mold is not desired


• in places where disinfectants are used from cleaning agent D (general disinfectant)


• environments where cleaning is done with detergent A (chlorine), detergent B (alkaline) and detergent C (acid descaler)


• in very cold rooms


• in places where the humidity is > 80%

 

Processing

1. The surface to be treated must be clean, free of grease and wax, free of dust and dry. Thoroughly clean and degrease used floors beforehand!
2. Apply the Eco Concrete Primer as the first coat of paint. Process this primer according to the processing instructions and let it dry for 2-3 hours.
3. The floor must then be varnished for protection. Stir the paint thoroughly and mix component A and B carefully. Dilute the mixture with 10% water, stir well again and let it rest for a few minutes. For processing use the BD microfibre roller 9mm.
4. Apply the 2nd coat of paint by means of generously apply the BD Eco Concrete Seal 2K HD, roll well wet in wet and ensure an even appearance as a result.
5. After 3-4 hours of drying, you can apply the 3rd coat. If the 3rd layer of lacquer is applied after 12 hours, the floor (2nd layer of lacquer) must be lightly polished with sanding gauze grit 320 for better adhesion. Then make the surface dust-free and apply the 3rd and last layer of lacquer in the same way.

After 12 hours, the treated surface can be lightly loaded. This is fully cured and can be heavily loaded after approx. 10 days. Processing, consumption, drying and loading are highly dependent on factors such as ventilation, humidity, temperature, etc.

Maintenance

We recommend three different products for the maintenance of the Concrete Seal 2K HD. First of all, you can use BD Eco Multi Cleaner for weekly maintenance. In addition, we recommend the BD Soft Balm for monthly maintenance. Finally, you can use Blue Dolphin Polish for major or annual maintenance of your wooden floor. Make sure that you remove the old layer before applying a new layer of polish.

BD Eco Concrete Seal 2K HD is available in a 6L container.
